Insights generated from EIDA led to greater transparency and ownership of results across the project and informed new approaches to engaging with trade contractors.
MSD’s Carlow expansion project marked the achievement of 1.5m safe hours worked on site. Site permit to work and other accompanying permits were managed via EIDA and not only reduced the turnaround time for permits but also allowed the site safety team to manage personnel numbers in specific locations on site at any given time. Once submitted, the permits were approved or rejected by the safety team via a customised workflow and notifications were sent to users who generated the request. Only approved permits could be printed for use on-site.
One system managing the highly complex needs of a large expansion project.
